Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Passes 1 Million Copies Sold

Panache Digital Games’ peculiar open-world survival sim Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has now sold more than 1 million copies.

The game, from the creator of the original Assassin’s Creed Patrice Désilets, first released in 2019 and has since been released on PS4, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG) and Xbox One.

“We set out to create something special with Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, and it means so much that over one million players have joined us along the way to create their experience,” said Désilets.

“This is a huge achievement for our small team, and we would like to thank everyone who has played, especially those who have shared their own incredible journeys in the game with us.”

Ancestors’ take the open-world survival formula to transport players to the life of humankind millions of years ago. It’s great to see what might look like a niche title to some has amassed quite the sales numbers, as well as fans.
