Airframe Ultra Getting A Public Beta And New Demo

Airframe Ultra, the “battle-racer” from the developer Videocult and publisher Akupara Games, will have a public beta test.

The Airframe Ultra public beta will be happening from January 10-13, this weekend. Players interested will need to join the Airframe Discord here before January 9, 11.59 PM PT (3.59 PM Malaysia Time, +8 GMT) to sign-up for the beta.

Participating in this public beta, the game’s first, will reward players with the exclusive Bandit 99 skin, redeemable at launch.

You can see the new skin in the new trailer here, which also reveals that alongside its hoverbike racing gameplay reminiscent of Jet Moto and vehicular combat that screams Road Rage, Airframe Ultra will have on-foot combat, which is fascinating to see.

Not only that, but Airframe Ultra will have a new offline demo available on Steam. Previously, a character editor was released via the game’s website, but the one coming to Steam is a new, never-been-seen demo.

Airframe Ultra is developed by the same team behind that made systems-based ecology adventure Rain World. Videocult is switching out the slug cats for slum rats racing in a low-poly decrepit future. It has the aura, or to use the correct term for the time, attitude, of late 90’s PS1 racing games, something that has since become esoteric these days. Which makes Airframe Ultra all the more cooler to simply exist in a market where racing games are niche.

Airframe Ultra has no release date yet, but it’s coming to PC (Steam).
