World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) Malaysia 2017 Announced

Another big esports event is coming your way. The World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) is a massive esports tournament backed by Alisports, part of the giant Chinese conglomerate Alibaba. The WESG is reminiscent of the World Cyber Games, where players all over the world compete to be the country’s best before moving playing at the world stage.

The Malaysian qualifiers are set to begin this weekend, with four different games in play: Dota 2, Counter-Strike:: Global Offensive (CS:GO), Starcraft II and Hearthstone. Winners at the Grand Final will represent Malaysia to the regional qualifiers at WESG Asia-Pacific (APAC).

The offline/LAN Qualifiers are set to be held on November 18 and 19 at Orange Esports Stadium with the Online Qualifiers set to start on November 21 through 23. The Grand Final for Malaysia will be held on November 25, December 2 and 3 at Orange Esports Stadium.

Orange Esports are the organisers for WESG Malaysia. You can find more info at their Facebook page here.
