Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters’ Latest Trailer Gives A Glimpse Of Its Strategy-RPG Gameplay

As promised in the last reveal, albeit one week later than expected, a new gameplay trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters has appeared today.

The turn-based tactical RPG will see you assemble your squad of Grey Knights Space Marines with different weapons and gear, invest in research, and scour through the various systems in the 41st millennium as you purge the corruption of Chaos in the galaxy.

The real gem in the gameplay trailer is the maps you’ll be battling in. From cathedrals to factorums, you have to get your Knights into cover and make use of the environments against the enemies to fight this Chaos plague.

Also, the end of the trailer teases which Chaos god’s forces you’re be fighting against. Papa Nurgle sends his regards with an army of slimy, bloated beings of pestilence.

Daemonhunters looks pretty much something XCOM fans would be familiar with, but in a Warhammer 40K flavour with a story written by Aaron Dembski-Bowden.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters, developed by Complex Games and published by Frontier Foundry, is expected to release on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) sometime in 2022.
