Warhammer 40K boomer shooter? Heck yeah! Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun was announced at this year’s Warhammer Skulls Showcase.
The game, by developer Auroch Digital and publisher Focus Entertainment, will see you play as one Space Marine and their trusty Boltgun battling against the heretic Chaos Space Marines and the daemonic forces of Chaos across the galaxy.
Boltgun will be a single-player experience, uses sprites like a boom shooter of the ’90s would, and lots and lots of blood. Aside from the bread-and-butter Boltgun used by most Angels of Death, the trailer did tease different weapons, including the chainsword as a melee strike.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is expecting a 2023 release, coming to PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
