Supermassive Games made thier reputation with the actually good Until Dawn, a narrative adventure game with a horror tinge and choices that actuallly matter. Then they moved to developing on the PS VR.
After years of working under Sony to make use of its peripherals (Until Dawn was first designed to work with the PS Move), now they have gone with Bandai Namco to create a horror game anthology titled The Dark Pictures.
With The Dark Pictures, Suppermassive is aiming to launch two different games each year, all with their, according to an interview by Inside Xbox.
The first part of the antology is called Man Of Medan, where five friends snorkeling to see a ship wreck and brought back some token from it. Of course, that awakened a haunted ghost ship which leads them in peril.
Man Of Medan seems like it is based on the “Ourang Medan” legends from Indonesia.
Man Of Medan will be out in 2019, signalling the start of the anthology, on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
