Publisher 505 Games have announced a release date for Total Tank Simulator. This is a physics-based World War II tactics game about plopping units and witness the chaos that it ensues. This includes destructible buildings.
With a simple, low-poly aesthetic, you could say that it’s kinda like Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, for tanks. And planes. And infantrymen. Okay, so it’s not just about tanks, despite the name. There are over 100 different units, of the historical and “classified” variety, with 50 maps.
This is the first game from indie developers Noobz From Poland.
Total Tank Simulator will have various modes to tackle. There’s a campaign mode where it takes place in World War II, with mission types include killing the VIP and wave defense. There is a sandbox mode for you to mess around and answer silly questions like “how many infantrymen we need to kill one Russian Taiga?”, or stress-test your CPU with loads of tanks on one screen. Finally, there’s Shadow Mode, where you have to keep battling against the enemy, and that enemy will use the exact copy of your winning unit loadout. A battle against your previous self, essentially.
505 Games is currently having a promo campaign to get people to wishlist the game on Steam. Here are the milestones and rewards:
- Tier 1: 50,000 wishlists = Secret Weapons or Special Tactics units will be available for each of the original factions
- Tier 2: 75,000 wishlists = Secret Weapons or Special Tactics units + Officer Units + 10% release discount for one week
