THQ Nordic is not only reviving dead IPs, they now continue to gobble up developers. The company has announced the acquisition of Milestone and Gunfire Games.
Milestone has cornered a niche, being the makers of motorcycle racer Ride and also the official annual MotoGP games. The Italian-based developers will be part of Koch Media/Deep Silver label.
Joining under THQ Nordic is Gunfire Games, makers of Darksiders III and founded by former Darksiders developers.
All development team and IP from the developers are included in the acquisition. Though Gunfire’s upcoming looter-shooter,-ish co-op game Remnant: From The Ashes, published by Perfect World, was not mentioned and may not be included.
The two developers join Warhorse Studios and publisher/developer Coffee Stain as recent acquisitions by THQ Nordic.
