Sad News Burnout fans,
Criterion Games has announced today that the original servers for Burnout Paradise are shutting down this August. This will affect the PS3, Xbox 360 and Steam version of the game.
Burnout Paradise fans, after over 11.5 years of service, the servers for the original 2008 game will be closing on August 1st 2019. That affects Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions. Offline play will still be available of course, and Burnout Paradise Remastered servers are unaffected.

This means that the only way you could play Burnout Paradise online after August is via the Remastered edition on the current gen consoles and Origin.
It isn’t exactly an issue if you’re only playing it offline but I feel that it’s a chunk of the game’s experience missing when the servers come down on August. Especially for those who prefer playing on Steam.
In any case, the Remastered edition of Burnout Paradise is available on PS4, Xbox One and Origin.
