Gran Turismo Sport has stopped getting its meaty monthly content updates, but at least there’s one new car you can expect to see in the PS4 racing game.
The new Toyota GR86, a successor to the Toyota 86, and the sister car to the Subaru BRZ, will be coming to Gran Turismo Sport.
This is thanks to the Toyota GR Supra Cup competition returning this year s the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup 2021. Previously, the championship, running alongside the FIA-certified Gran Turismo Championships, has now expanded beyond the GR Supra and will have competitors racing the Toyota GR Yaris, The Super Formula car as well as the new GR86, stated to arrive “sometime mid-year”.
The seventh round of the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup 2021 will see competitors racing on Mount Panorama in the GR86, set to be held on August 22. So the car should arrive in an update before that date.
Gran Turismo Sport will unlikely see another big content update since we now know that Gran Turismo 7 is coming next year. But at least a few cars like the GR86 will make its way to GT Sport still.
