The Division Resurgence Will Include The Dark Zone, PvP

Ubisoft is bringing The Division to mobile with The Division Resurgence. And it looks more and more like the first Division but adapted to mobile as a free-to-play title.

As the September 2022 Ubisoft Forward has shown, this mobile game will even include the Dark Zone.

For the uninitiated, the Dark Zone is The Division’s PvPvE loot extraction game mode. Back in 2014 when The Division is about to release, it was quite a unique mode. You go to a high-risk, high-reward location where enemies are tougher and the loot much better. The catch is that the loot must be extracted in a very specific manner (in this case, waiting for a helicopter to arrive and then attaching the loot to it and waiting until it flies away).

And in the Dark Zone, players can go rogue which lets them attack other players and loot other player’s loot.

PvPvE loot extraction game modes are in abundance these days, especially in free-to-play titles, some even are on mobile. But that just makes the inclusion in The Division Resurgence here not out of place.

However, there is a surprise addition that the original The Division didn’t have but Resurgence will- PvP. Known as Conflict mode in-game, this originally appears in The Division 2.

Ubisoft has conducted a closed alpha test for the mobile game, and closed beta will begin sometime in this Fall (later this year). The closed beta test will include Dark Zone and Conflict (Domination mode first, Skirmish will be added later).

Beta sign-ups for The Division Resurgence are open on The Division website here, or from the Google Play store.
