The Division 2’s First Expansion Will Take You Back To New York City

The Division 2 is getting an expansion. Titled The Division 2: Warlords Of New York City, it will take you to, surprise, New York City.

NYC is the setting for the first Division, but now you get to revisit Lower Manhattan again. But it’s not winter anymore. Eight months have passed since the events of the first game. Now it’s muddied thanks to a hurricane and everything’s changed for the worse.

The main goal of the Warlords of New York City is to take down rogue agent Aaron Keener. But to get to him, like some other Ubisoft game, you need to take down his followers first- four sub-bosses in Lower Manhattan, now divided into four sectors

Warlords Of New York will add more gear, make builds matter, UI changes to make it clearer if a gear is any better, a level cap increase from 30 to 40, a new battle pass-style seasons, changes to the Dark Zone, an infinite progression system and more.

The Warlords campaign is meant for endgame players, but new players can immediately jump into the expansion content first by creating a level 30 character, with options to return to the base game’s Washington D.C. later.

The Division 2’s upcoming free episode will take you to Coney Island, New York. This will serve as a prologue to Warlords Of New York. It should launch later today for Year 1 pass owners, and available to everyone on February 19th.

The Division 2: Warlords Of New York will be out on March 3rd for the PS4, PC (Epic Games Store, Uplay), and Xbox One.
