After a week-long teaser countdown, Capcom has revealed the next new mainline entry to its legendary fighting game series, Street Fighter.
Street Fighter 6 (not in Roman numerals this time) has just been revealed at the Capcom Pro Tour 2021 Season Finals with a less-than-a-minute teaser trailer.
You see two combatants, the poster boy Ryu (now in Hot Ryu form but also wider than ever) versus the newcomer Luke (the last DLC character for Street Fighter V).
We get a look at the logo that looks like an esports organisation but with a good splash of spray paint effect for that “street” look. We also get a return to hip-hop backing tracks and announcer saying the title, a staple for Street Fighter games.
More details are to be revealed later this summer (Q3). So far, no platforms were announced.
