The Steam Library, the part of Steam where you stare at the long list of games backlog, is getting a sleek new redesign. As detailed by Valve, the redesign is to help surface the games in your library for you to explore.
The one big change is it now has a landing page. Any new game update or event will be surfaced straight in the landing page letting you know about it. Something akin to the Epic Games Store, developers get to reach out to their players by informing something through events.
Recent games and games your friends are playing will also pop up on the same landing page.
The usual things you expected when highlighting a game, like list of achievements, the friends list that play that game and trading card are neatly placed in a side tab.
The redesigned Steam Library will be going in Open Beta in September 17th, and anyone can opt-in to try it out.
