Spyro Reignited Trilogy Release Delayed To November 13th

Spyro apparently won’t be jumping, gliding and hovering to stores on September 21st as it is being delayed to November. On the Activition blog, co-founder of Toys For Bob Paul Yan announced the release being pushed back.

“Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years, “ he wrote. “We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018.

“I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care.  In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.”

A small print on the game’s website mentioned that an additional download is required before you can play Spyro 2 and Spyro 3. The way it was written has caused fans to not be happy that not all of the games are available on disc at launch. While it could just be a day-one patch, the news did not sit well still. Last year’s Crash N.Sane Trilogy had all three games playable, for comparison.

The official statement of the delay made no connection to the issue we mentioned, however. Though we hope that the extra development time could make all the games playable on disc.
