Splatoon 2 Gets A “Global Testfire” Demo On March 24-26

Looks like early Switch adopters can get a taste of Splatoon 2. Nintendo is launching what they are calling a Global Testfire where in specific periods between March 24-26, Switch owners get to play a demo of the multiplayer shooter.

The demo will based of the build of Splatoon 2 Nintendo is showing off in their preview events. This includes the new weapon, the dual-wield pistols (Splat Dualies), and a “remix” of Splat Roller and Splat Charger weapons.

Here’s the the specific time windows for each test (with local time, +8 GMT in the brackets):

March 24:
12-12:59pm PT (4:00am, March 25)
8-8:59pm PT (12:00pm, March 25)
March 25:
4-4:59am PT (8:00pm, March 25)
12-12:59pm PT (4:00am, March 26)
8-8:59pm PT(12:00pm, March 26)
March 26:
4-4:59am PT (8:00pm, March 27)

It’s odd that you have specific time frames rather than having the full weekend worth of playtime, though this was also seen before the launch of the first game on Wii U. But at least some of the time slots suits our timezone here.

The demo will be available in the eShop soon. So this would be one valid argument to get the Switch early as it launches on March 3, though we have to say that the price to get one here in Malaysia is a bit too much.
