SaGa Frontier, Square Enix’s 1998 JRPG now has a remaster and it’s out now.
SaGa Frontier Remastered includes remastered graphics, but also new content. This includes fan-favourite character Fuse becoming the eighth playabel character as well as new character events.
The remaster also includes new quality of life changes such as double and triple speed boosts, new UI, a story chart feature, autosaves as well as New Game+ Mode.
Development of SaGa Frontier Remastered involved key people that worked on the original release which includes SaGa Series General Director Akitoshi Kawazu and Producer Hiroyuki Miura, artist Tomomi Kobayashi and composer Kenji Ito.
“I am incredibly excited and proud to give new life to SaGa Frontier and to bring new additional features, Fuse’s character, and more to the remastered version –something the team and I wanted to do for the original but were unable to at the time,” said Kawazu.
SaGa Frontier Remastered is out now on PS4, PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch as well as on mobile for iOS and Android.
