ASUS ROG is revealing a bunch of new hardware today. One of which is an entire Special Edition line dedicated to a new colour: Electro Punk.
Electro Punk is the name the ROG designers landed when they were picking this specific cyberpunk-inspired pink. Hex colour #F7266B to be precise. The pink is used more of an accent on top of primarily black colour scheme, but it stands out just enough.
The accompanying laptop to brandish the Electro Punk colour scheme is the new ROG Strix G15. Yes, it’s now the Strix G15 and G17- the numbers presumably based on monitor size. It looks like the regular Strix G we reviewed last year (it’s good!) which also received a Special Edition Glacier Blue colour. But it has refreshed specs for 2020. Here they are:
- CPU: Up to Intel Core i7-10875H
- GPU: Up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super
- RAM: Up to Up to 32 GB
- Storage: 2 M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD (RAID 0 config) up to 1TB, 3 SSD slots
- Display: Up to 1080p IPS 240Hz
A 10th-gen Core i7, an RTX 2070 Super and SSDs in RAID 0 for faster loading speeds. Pretty crazy. And look at how minimal the actual Electro Punk is piped on the laptop itself.
Alongside that, there are a few other peripherals that are also in matching Electro Punk hues. They are :

- ROG Strix Impact II Electro Punk gaming mouse

The latter comes free with any Elecro Punk edition of the Strix G15.
If you ever want your PC gear to radiate in bisexual lighting, or you like the cyberpunk-esque colour scheme, maybe it’s worth waiting for this lineup to arrive. No date or price is shared yet by ASUS Malaysia, but we’ll let you know when they do.
