Remember the 80’s? Rocket League will make you remember that this summer. For nine whole weeks beginning June 10th, the Rocket League Radical Summer will be celebrating popular movies, franchise and culture of the decade. Play online matches during the event period to gather mixtapes, which can then be used to claim event-exclusive cosmetics.
The event is broken up into three segments. The first three weeks (June 10th-June 30th) will see 80’s Blockbusters being celebrated. Cosmetics available here are from movies like Back to the Future, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, The Goonies, Karate Kid and… Ghostbusters.
In fact, you can get the Ecto-1 Car Pack, a premium battle car, during this time period. And there’s a limited-time mode called Ghost Hunt where you fire a proton stream to capture the ball and send it to the goal.
The next three weeks (July 1st-July 21st) sees a celebration of 80’s Culture. This will see the Spiked Ball limited-time mode.
The last three weeks (July 22nd-August 12th) is about 80’s Television. Cosmetics will be themed around DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender and WWE. This is when the Knight Rider Car Pack, featuring the talking car K.I.T.T., will be made available. The limited-time mode here is Beach Ball.

There will be a one-week last-chance redemption period after the event for you to use those mixtapes to redeem any of the missed cosmetics.
