Rev To Vertex Is An RPG Touge Racer Set In The Streets Of Hong Kong

Here’s something interesting for racing game fans pining for the glory days of Tokyo Xtreme Racer. Hong Kong-based game developer (and motorsport creative media production house) Plutonization is working on a racing game called Rev To Vertex.

Rev To Vertex is pitched as a touge battle racing game, where it’s about one-on-one duels where you win by leaving the trailing car behind a significant margin.

There will car customisation, the trailer shows some heavily customised non-licensed vehicles ripping it up on a mountain pass.

Plutonization uses geospatial data and Lidar tech to recreate the streets and hill climbs of Hong Kong. The team have had prior experience in creating Route Twisk, a hill climb route in Hong Kong, for the Shell Route Twisk Battle 2021 esports competition. The track is an Assetto Corsa mod.

With Rev To Vertex, this will be a completely new game, based on the Unity Engine it would seem as the job listings available implies.

Rev To Vertex is targeting an Early Access release on PC (Steam), with the launch on Epic Games Store to follow. A demo is expected to release sometime this September.
