The next Red Dead Online content update is coming next week, and Rockstar Games has shared some details on what to expect coming to the open-world western adventure.
The Blood Money update will add a new role- sort of. Instead of a specialised job like the ones already available (Bounty Hunter, Trader, Collector, Moonshiner, Naturalist), this new set of work and activities isn’t really a new job- but expands on criminal activities that are core to the Red Dead games.
This new work type, simply labelled as Crimes, will require no upfront investment. So no need to spend Gold Bars, anyone can go start and do Crimes in Red Dead Online.
Crimes will involve you reporting to Guido Martelli, right-hand man to the infamous Angelo Bronte. Martelli wants you to recover the new resource Capitale- located all over the map, by any means possible.
And this isn’t just reusing the activities already available in RDO either. Crimes can be in the form of kidnapping, brutal debt collections and various kinds of robbery. New ways to do crimes, essentially.
Though you do get the more usual activities in Free Roam. You may find Homesteads and Camps that you can go and grab Capitale.
Get enough Capitale, and new Opportunities will unlock, which will see a plot of Martelli trying to stop a Lemonye senator from disrupting the criminal business his boss is running. There will be various approaches to complete the task- from listening to nearby conversations to looking out for important targets. There will be three Opportunities, with the first one available when the Blood Money update drops.
Alongside the new Crimes content, RDO will be getting the Quick Draw Club battle pass. The first of four series includes the reward of unlocking Dutch “I have a plan” Van Der Linde’s outfit. Female characters can also don the look too.
Compared to the previous Outlaw passes, the Quick Draw Club only has 25 ranks per pass. You’ll need 25 Gold Bars to access one of the four passes, but reach the end of each and you’ll get back that 25 Gold Bars.
More clothing items, including those that were available in a previous battle pass, will be made available in the next weeks and months.
Lastly, for PC players with an Nvidia GPU, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online will support Nvidia DLSS when the Blood Money update arrives. DLSS is Nvidia’s up-res tech that gives a performance boost while still maintaining sharp images.
The Red Dead Online Blood Money update will arrive on July 13 on all platforms.
