The latest installment of the Rainbow Six franchise, Quarantine, was quite quiet for the whole of 2020 due to the pandemic.
But in a recent financial call, Ubisoft CFO, Frédérick Duguet, has stated that the spin-off game will launch alongside Far Cry 6 (who also doesn’t have a release date) within this year. Curiously, it will also get a name change before release. Probably due to the current world situation.
The game itself is about the R6S characters fighting against a deadly alien parasite in a 3V1 PVE style FPS. There has been hints that that game will be called “Rainbow 6: Parasite”, but no announcement has been made yet.
Hopefully, we get to see the game in action soon.
