Quantic Dream Making A New Star Wars Game

The rumours were true, for better or worse. Quantic Dreams, the long-time narrative game developers have revealed that they are making Star Wars Eclipse.

This all-new action-adventure title, working together with the newly revived Lucasfilm Games, will be set in the High Republic era- the golden age of the Jedi. Set in the Outer Rim of the galaxy far, far away, Star Wars Eclipse will feature the usual branching narratives and let players make choices to change the course of the story.

A tremendously beautiful CG trailer was revealed at The Game Awards. The developer name was only revealed right at the end.

Quantic Dream has a reputation for making avant-garde adventure games with a focus on story-telling. Though the storytelling can be uneven and disjointed, or a compelling one for just one isolated scene. Though it cannot be argued that these folks make graphically jaw-dropping visuals.

Star Wars Eclipse is still in early development, and all of Quantic Dream’s studios in Paris and Montreal are working on the project. Also, Quantic Dream will be self-publishing the title.
