Edited Note: Due to the apparent licensing issues, EC Digital has decided to pull the game from both Steam and Epic Games Store until further notice. The original article is as followed:
So, here’s a surprising release you wouldn’t expect.
Hong Kong based EC Digital has re-release a new edition of cult-classic game Scarface: The World Is Yours on PC. The open-world action game was first released almost two decades ago for PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC back in 2006, with a Wii version releasing a year later in 2007.
According to its Steam blurb, it a “re-release of the original classic third-person open-world action game and featuring an optional high-definition graphics mode (as downloadable content). It quite an interesting release as Universal Studios, its parent company and copyright holder of both film and game, were strict with its release back then and while they have loosened a bit with new releases of the Scott Pilgrim games (with one coming next year), a re-release of its most iconic tie-in game by the legendary Radical Entertainment is a welcome change.
The game is now out on Epic, due to a backend configuration error, but no dates has been set for its Steam release.
