Overwatch League – Philadelphia Fusion Jumps In

Philadelphia Fusion is the team name for the Overwatch League spot owned by Comcast Spectator. This is the sports arm for the USA’ telco provider Comcast which also owns the NHL team Philadelphia Flyers.

As such, the Fusion will be adorning the orange, black and white, similar to the colour scheme used for the Flyers. ” “Orange and black are colors of passion here in Philadelphia, ” said Comcast Spectator President and CEO Dave Scott. “We are proud to incorporate them as we continue to formulate our coaching staff and roster of players.”

The Fusion name has a pretty straightforward explanation- it reflects ” the process of several distinct entities coming  together to create a new whole that generates power and heat”. Though the name sharing the same initials as the NHL team is probably not just a coincidence.
