Oppo has launched its latest range of mobile phones in Malaysia.
The Oppo Reno14 series, which consists of the Reno14 Pro 5G, Reno14 5G and Reno14 F 5G, makes use new AI features encased in a beautiful “mermaidcore” styling slab.
The Oppo Reno14 Pro 5G, the flagship of the series, is a sleeper gaming phone. It’s equipped with the new MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chip (41% better in multi-core performance and 44% reduction in power consumption from the previous Dimensity 8350, according to MediaTek) and the Arm Mali-G720 GPU, which has a 24% graphics performance boost with 42% power draw. In short, better performance with less battery use.
The rest of the Reno14 series phones are no slouch either. Each of them has a vapour chamber for cooling. The “AI Nano Dual-Drive Cooling System” on the higher-end Reno14 Pro and Reno14, AI Hyperboost 2.0 tech, and the vapour chamber ensures the phone runs at a maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celcius in a long, 3-hour session of Mobile Legends Bang Bang (60 FPS) or PUBG Mobile (30 FPS, HD settings) where the phones are in 35 degrees Celsius ambient temperature setting, Oppo claims.
All of the three Oppo Reno14 models come with AMOLED displays, with support for Oppo’s Splash Touch and Glove Mode allowing easy use when the fingers are wet, sweaty, greasy or covered in gloves so you won’t lose control of your game during the more sweaty (literal or otherwise) gaming sessions. The display sizes between the three models are more or less comparable (6.83-inch, 6.59-inch and 6.57-inch displays for the Reno14 Pro, Reno14 and Reno14 F respectively). The Reno14 Pro boasts “1.5K” resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and even HDR10+ certification.
As for battery life, the flagship Reno14 Pro has a hefty 6,200mAh battery with support for 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging.
The Reno14 and Reno14 F are not far behind, battery capacity wise, with a 6,000mAh battery and support for SUPERVOOC as well.
Not only that, but the Oppo Reno14 series phones also has AI LinkBoost 3.0 that smartly switches the phone to faster network connections by analysing available network performance. The phones also have upgraded antenna designs to ensure more stable data connections, important for online gaming.
The Oppo Reno14 series of phones also comes equipped with various AI features, including AI-powered software features to improve its camera and photo editing suite.
