The upcoming skateboarding platformer game by Roll7 and Private Division, OlliOlli World, gets a new trailer, showcasing not the gameplay but rather its radical new art direction.
Instead of 2D pixel art seen from the previous two OlliOlli games, OlliOlli World goes full cartoon, and the cinematic trailer shows what the world of Radlandia looks like if it’s a proper 2D cartoon. It definitely could work as an animated series, judging by this trailer.
Big airs, big grinds, big birds with big muscles and ice cream people roam the lands where skateboarding is more than just a sport. Skate good enough and you might just be graced by the mystical skate gods.

The trailer doesn’t offer any gameplay footage, but all the characters you see, and the music you hear, do appear in the game proper.
If the full game turns out as good as what we played in our hands-on impressions, this is another indie game worth putting on your radar, especially if you are looking for a fresh take on skateboarding games.
OlliOIlli World comes out on February 8 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
