Nvidia announced at CES 2022 that the higher-end GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti graphics cards to laptops, starting this February.
The new GPUs utilises the new 4th generation of Max-Q Technology, a suite of features to make the cards more efficient for use in laptops while still carrying close-to-similar levels of performance from its full-fat desktop variants.
The 4th-gen Max-Q introduces a CPU optimiser to improve CPU efficiency and transfer more power to the GPU, Rapid Core Scaling that will make the GPU use only the amount of cores needed to run apps instead of using them all at every time, and Battery Boost 2.0, an AI-powered solution that will balance CPU and GPU power use, battery use, image quality and frame rate.
Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Gigabyte, Lenovo, MSI and Razer will be introducing new gaming laptops powered by Nvidia GeForce RTX.
