Nioh 2, the follow-up to Team Ninja’s Souls-like action RPG, now has a release date. It will be out on March 12th, 2020, with pre-orders now live on PS Store Asia.
The Nioh series takes place in Sengoku era Japan but the supernatural Yokai are out in the wild. Think of it as Sekiro, before Sekiro. With a neat stance-based combat system.
Here’s the new trailer:
Nioh 2 will also have an open beta test, a Beta Demo, from November 1st to 10th. It should be a small chunk of what to expect with the sequel, which now lets you customise your own playable character.
Should you miss the first game’s protagonist William, should you have a save file from Nioh, you can transform your appearance into the white-haired hero. Having a Nioh save while playing Nioh 2’s Beta Demo will also net you the Mark of the Demon Slayer.
And if you haven’t played Nioh yet, it will be part of PS Plus’ free games offer for November 2019, including Asia.
Nioh 2 will be out on March 12th, 2020 for the PS4.
