Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a faithful remake that should be a remaster of the first trilogy of Spyro games originally made by Insomniac Games. Developers Toys For Bob have so far only shown footage from the original Spyro The Dragon so far, but now we got a glimpse of Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage (or Spyro 2: Gateway To Glimmer as it’s known in Europe).
First, we got a glimpse of the main baddie from the sequel, Ripto. Now looking more regal than ever.

Next was some new gameplay footage by Playstation takes place in the Idol Springs level. The level looks cohesive with the levels shown from the first game, but all the major changes from Spyro 1 and Spyro 2 remain in tact. The levels now are populated with more variety of creatures, though in this case many of them shared the same name.
Spyro 2 also has more sidequests based on mini-games or puzzles, as seen in the footage. Plus, you can also swim in clear water. The rewards for completing sidequests, orbs, may be the only one thing that can be seen as a downer- it doesn’t bounce on the floor before it gets collected but that’s a minor nitpick.
Here’s the footage:
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is set to rekindle your nostalgia on September 21st for the PS4 and Xbox One.
