Private Division has revealed a new trailer for Roll7’s upcoming skateboarding game (and also an action-platformer) OlliOlli World.
The new trailer gives a glimpse of the many customisation options to make your own skater, decked in your own personalised style. Body types, skin tone, and various kinds of clothing can be customised, the first time in the OlliOlli series.
OlliOlli World will also let you express your own skateboarding style, from animation choices that trigger when you start or end a run, to the tricks you can do.
What’s interesting is to see the way the customisation menu is presented. The UI design makes the clothing options fill the background space and as such, gives the impression that there are tons of options to scroll through (hopefully it does). And it looks more fun to scroll through it seems compared to the usual box and tile layout in these customisation menus.
OlliOlli World takes the hard-as-nails pixel-art style skateboarding series to 2.5D, incorporating a new art style in the new world of Radlandia. The world includes various districts to skate on, including one called… Thicc Mary (on the 1:01 mark of the trailer above).
OlliOlli World is set for release “this winter” (later this year- early next year) for the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
