New AMD Driver Update Adds Support For Sniper Elite 5 And Hitman 3, AMD Privacy View

A new driver for AMD GPU users is now available for download. The AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition (previously known as Radeon Software Adrenalin) 22.5.2 adds game support for Sniper Elite 5 and Hitman 3 (which is getting ray tracing support in a new update), as well as a few other features.

The driver update also adds more Vulkan extensions, adding more support to the alternative graphics rendering API that isn’t Direct3D.

One notable new addition is AMD Privacy View. It’s not really a gaming tech as it’s more useful in a work environment, but the idea is that it blurs or dims areas that you are not viewing by way of eye-tracking. This way, you can ensure the privacy of your screen from onlookers that may walk or stand behind you while you’re working on the PC.

The new driver also adds AMD Smart Memory optimisations for Watch Dogs Legion and Death Stranding. Playing these two games using a Radeon RX6000 series graphics will see an increase in performance.

Radeon RX 6000 series cards will also see a bump in performance when playing other games that use DirectX11, with up to an 8% increase on an RX 6950.
