Nacon Launches New First-Person Life Sim Series, Starting With Hotel Life

Publishers Nacon has announced a slew of games from the budding new genre of first-person sim games that lets you do mundane (but interesting) tasks of a particular profession, called the Life series.

There will be multiple games that ends with “Life” in the title, made by several different developers.

The first to get a full reveal is Hotel Life – A Resort Simulator, developed by RingZero Game Studio. In Hotel Life, you will be building and running a holiday resort. From building and decorating rooms to doing cleaning and maintenance, Hotel Life will cover the full management aspect of running a hotel.

There’s a management aspect like building and upgrading the resort, as well as hiring the right workers. But you can also do the dirty work yourself, in the first person, as you prepare meals, clean rooms and even picking up guests from the airport.

Hotel Life will have a Career Mode where scripted events and missions will take place. There’s also Waiting Mode, should you just want to relax and admire your handiwork.

In case you might have not noticed, it can be a bit janky and off at places, but that’s totally normal to see in the first-person sim games. Don’t expect a AAA game experience, but expect a quirky and possible interesting one.

Hotel Life – A Resort Simulator will be out on August 26 for the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

The rest of the Life series includes Train Life – A Railway Simulator, Chef Life – A Restaurant Simulator, Surgeon Life – A Hospital Simulator and Architect Life – A Building Simulator.
