Mojang has locked a date for Minecraft’s first of two Caves & Cliffs Update release. Part I will be out next week on both the Bedrock Edition (PS4, PS5, Windows 10 PCs, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android) and Java Edition (PC Windows, macOS, Linux).
This first half of two updates adds new mobs and blocks. So expect to see goats, axolotls and glow squids roam the world.
The new blocks will also start spawning in the worlds, or accessible immediately in Creative Mode. The copper block in particular is cool just for the visual effect- it can change colour over time.
Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Part I update will be out next week, June 8. The second part will see the new biome changes to caves and cliffs and that’s coming later this year.
