2019 FPS Metro Exodus is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. In a blog post celebrating developers 4A Games’ 10th anniversary, it was announced that it is currently in the works and expected to arrive next year.
4A Games also revealed that it will be a free next-gen upgrade. If you already have a PS4 or Xbox One copy, you’ll get the next-gen version free.
At the moment, the developers have confirmed that Metro Exodus on PS5 and Xbox Series will have faster frame rate, increased resolution, reduced loading times and ray-tracing. Metro Exodus is one of the first titles to support ray-tracing via Nvidia RTX.
The blog post also goes in length explaining the future of 4A Games, now under Saber Interactive, which is part of Embracer Group- the big umbrella of which THQ Nordic and Deep Silver (publisher of the Metro games) also resides.
The Metro series will continue and the team are committed with delivering single-player experience. But right now, they are exploring multiplayer in the Metro universe.
In addition, they also want to make a new IP, and be a studio working on multiple projects at a time.
