Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 Announced, Includes Highly Anticipated MGS4 And Peace Walker

It has finally happened, after almost almost two decades stuck on the PS3, Metal Gear Solid 4 is finally escaping containment as part of the 2nd Volume of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, alongside the underrated MGS title, Peace Walker.

The headliner for this collection is none other than the Sixth entry of the series, where we play the final mission for Solid Snake, in his quest to defeat Liquid Ocelot and the Patriots. The game itself is famous for it’s perhaps lengthy cutscenes, but it finally coming to other consoles is already a treat.

And another great addition is Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, the (technically 2nd) portable entry of the series that sees Big Boss running Mother Base as part of the Militaires Sans Frontières (MSF) uncovering a CIA plot in Costa Rica. The game will also include it’s original CO-OP gameplay mechanics so up to 4 to 6 players can join in and do missions together.

They will also be porting the GBA version of MGS1, known as MGS Ghost Babel, as an addition which is neat as well.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 2 is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, both Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, along with PC via Steam on 27 August.
