Mega Man X Collection was announced earlier this year, and now we have a release date. The collection, similar to the Mega Man Legacy Collection, will be split in two, but both collections will be out on the same date this time.
Mega Man X-X4 will be on Legacy Collection 1 whereas Mega Man X5-X8 will be on Collection 2. In North America, there will be a bundle of both collections retailing at $39.99 USD. It is odd that the collection is artificially split- costing $19.99 USD each when it is out on the same date, but considering the lackluster reception of the last two Mega Man X games on the PS2, X7 and X8, fans might be better off saving money.
Mega Man X Legacy Collection will feature improved graphics (though an option to use untouched classic sprites for the first few games are available), new gallery and music player, the Day Of Sigma movie previously featured in Mega Man Maverick Hunter X and a new X Challenge mode where you can face two bosses at the same time.
Mega Man X Legacy Collection will be out on the PS4, PC, Xbox One and PC on July 24th.
