Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is the new standalone game following the 2018 superhero open-world game. Developers Insomniac Games has teased one feature coming to the PS5 title.
It will have an option to run at 4K 60fps.
The original Marvel’s Spider-Man was locked at 30fps at most, so a bump to 60fps is cool. What’s interesting is this is an optional performance mode. We would have to assume the quality mode will lock to 30fps. But with performance mode already has 4K resolution, we don’t what the quality mode will provide more. Native 4K with no checkerboarding to up-res the resolution? Better graphical settings?
It’s quite the teaser, and for fans of silky-smooth 60fps frame-rate, this is good news.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be out later this holiday season (end of the year) exclusively on the PS5.
