Marvel’s Avengers, the new action game by Crystal Dynamics, will also be offering free next-gen upgrades. Should you buy a PS4 or Xbox One version right now, digitally or physically, you’ll get the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X at no additional price.
Over on the PlayStation Blog, Crystal D revealed a bit about the enhance graphics coming to the PS5. Marvel’s Avengers will have a high framerate mode where the game targets 60fps and 4K resolution. Current-gen consoles, even the enhance PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, can only offer either-or. On next-gen, we can have both.
In addition, multiplayer mode will see consoles of the same family able to play together. So PS4 players can play with PS5 players.
Marvel’s Avengers will be out on September 4 for the PS4, PC, Xbox One and Stadia. It will also be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X later in holiday 2020, the end of the year.
