Netmarble and Marvel Entertainment announced that they are making a open world action RPG for mobile, titled Marvel Future Revolution.
Marvel Future Revolution will feature an original storyline (but with elements familiar to Marvel fans), characters you like and recognise from the comics and movies, and “AAA-quality 3D graphics”.
As a matter of fact, most of the video snippets for Marvel Future Revolution is just showcasing how immaculate the character models and level design looks up close.
In Marvel Future Revolution, the many different Earths are converging into the multiverse, which is a nice excuse to get all the Marvel superheroes and super villains to fight.
There will be eight playable characters for Marvel Future Revolution on launch. They are :
- Captain America
- Captain Marvel
- Spider-Man
- Black Widow
- Iron Man
- Doctor Strange
- Star-Lord
- Storm
Each character has costumes (of course), but you can also mix and match the costume pieces to make your own fashion.
Players can roam and fight in the open world in zones like Hydra Empire, Xandearth, Midgardia and Sakaar. On the villains’ side, expect to see a bunch of minions from Ultron and Kingpin, the soldiers of Hydra, and A.I.M. scientists as your go-to enemies. Yellowjacket, Thanos and M.O.D.O.K. are confirmed to be bosses you will fight against.
There will be single-player and multiplayer modes. The multiplayer modes are quite the variety. You have the four-player co-op Blitz mode, Special Operations, and even Raids. For PvP, there are 1v1 as well as 10v10 matches.
And also, there’s a mode called Dark Zone where it’s a 50-player free-for-all (PvPvE). No mention of loot stealing and helicopters for now, though.
You can pre-register for Marvel Future Revolution right now on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. There’s no release date for the game just yet.
