Marathon has locked in a release date for a second time. The upcoming extraction shooter by Bungie, a new entry based on the same trilogy of games the developer made before Halo and Destiny, previously revealed a new release window after the game was delayed.
It’s now set to release on March 5. March 6, a day later, in Southeast Asia.
A new gameplay trailer shows in-game footage of the extraction shooter and its dark future world. It’s being narrated by the character Gantry, the MIDA faction agent.
In Marathon (2026), not only are you infil to find rare loot in the form of gear and weapons which you hopefully successfully exfil out with, but also complete contracts for the game’s six factions. Completing them will unveil more of the mystery that lies on what happened here in Tau Ceti that it’s seemingly abandoned yet filled with loot.
