Mafia: The Old Country Strides To August 8 Release Date With Latest Trailer

The latest entry to the long-running Mafia series has locked in a date for their 19th Century Sicily epic during their recent PAX East Panel.

The Old Country sees you uncover the origins of organized crime set in the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily, playing as Enzo Favara trying to survive the underworld that enters, while also maintaining his core beliefs – Loyalty, honor and obedience.

This new action-adventure game by the folks at Hangar 13 is making it feel like a refined take on the Mafia series, as not only they are moving to Unreal Engine 5, it’s also said to play like a linear experience which means, unlike Mafia 3 or the Mafia 1 Remake, it would NOT feature an open-world to explore, so most of the exploring would be done in the story mode.

One thing that is interesting to note, is that the game is set to launch with the base price of 49.99 USD (roughly 229 MYR) on consoles, or an attractive 178 MYR on PC via Steam regional pricing for the standard edition. It’s a pretty solid price for what is expected to be an ode to Classical mobster Flims and a solid action game.

Mafia: The Old Country is set to launch on August 8 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series Consoles and PC.
