Have you noticed the quiet rise of FMV dating sim visual novels? Well, here’s one more for those interested in such experiences.
H2 Interactive have released Love Too Easily 2: Summer Pocha, developed by Monster Guide.
Love Too Easily 2: Summer Pocha is a “real-life dating simulation game.” Instead of still images as mostly seen in traditional visual novels, Love Too Easily 2: Summer Pocha has live-action scenes with the love interests portrayed by real actresses. Old gamers would refer these live-action scenes as FMVs (full motion videos), a technique popularised during the rise of compact discs that provides large enough storage for games to make use of videos instead of back-then rudimentary real-time rendering to make games look good.
In other words, if you like the live-action cabaret girls mini-game in Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and to some extent Like A Dragon Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii, this will surely interest you. More so if you prefer Korean ladies.
In Love Too Easily 2: Summer Pocha, the protagonist is involved in a hit-and-run accident while making a delivery and was then scammed by a friend he ever trusted. Now having lost everything, he, the protagonist, now runs a Korean-style street bar— or as they are called there, pocha. This is the scenario where he will run into five “unique and captivative women.”
Players will be running the struggling pocha as well as building relationships with their chosen love interest, each with a different personality, taste and tendencies.
The romanceable characters in Love Too Easily 2: Summer Pocha, and their official description, are:
- Choi Sol (Portrayed by Lee Heeru): A cheerful and lovable part-timer and mascot of the pocha
- Nana (Portrayed by Eun Daha): A charismatic indie band vocalist
- Anna (Portrayed by Shin Jiwon a.k.a. Johyun): A passionate writer and a regular customer at the pocha
- Sarang (Portrayed by Yang Seul): The protagonist’s first love, reunited after years apart
- Gain (Portrayed by Oh Yeonha): A popular streamer with a natural flair for entertainment
Love Too Easily 2: Summer Pocha is now available on PS5 and Nintendo Switch. A bundle that includes Love Too Easily 2: Summer Pocha and its predecessor, Love Too Easily, is also available.
