Lenovo Teases New Legion 5i And 7i Gaming Laptops Coming Soon

Gaming laptop refresh season is upon us. Lenovo has teased some new laptops joining the Legion gaming line.

The Lenovo Legion 5i and 7i will be powered by Intel’s 10th-gen Comet Lake Core CPUs. It will also incorporate Nvidia’s G-Sync, and for the first time for the Lenovo Legion line, Nvidia Advance Optimus tech for better battery life. Lenovo is also committed to include Nvidia’s GPU, up to the RTX 2080 Super with Max-Q design, on upcoming Legion models.

The Lenovo Legion 5i is confirmed to come with an Nvidia RTX 2060. Whereas the big brother Legion 7i comes with an RTX 2070. Interestingly, these do not replace the Y540 and Y740 line entirely, as they too will get another refresh with the respective GPUs later this year as well.

Here are some teasers of the Legion 5i and Legion 7i respectively. So far, it looks similar to the current design language Legion uses, with slight tweaks (the logo and RGB lighting piping are adjusted from the Y740).

Expect to hear more of Lenovo’s new gaming laptops coming soon. But if you’re looking for a gaming laptop right now, and not something with an expensive RTX GPU, check out our review of the Legion Y7000.
