Konami has threw a new curve ball in the baseball gaming market, as they announced that a free-to-play version of their popular Pro Yakyū Spirits (translated to Pro Baseball Spirits) series is getting not only a global release, but is now available to download and play now.
Now known globally as eBaseball: Pro Spirit, this edition of the game includes the World Championship mode, where players build their team and compete online against other players from across the globe, think Ultimate Team but the baseball equivalent.
The other mode is the Exhibition mode, where you can take your time and enjoy the incredible baseball gameplay with either your created team or some of the nations that are competition in the currently on-going 2026 World Baseball Classic, like Japan, USA and Australia.
Hopefully this means that the main Pro Spirits game will be getting an English release as well some time soon, as the game series has already stepped foot onto the Steam page way back in 2024, and could bring some fight to the Major Leagues series dominance with the NPB appearance.
eBaseball: Pro Spirit is out on PC and PlayStation 5 right now.
