Hot on the trails from last week’s Spyro 2 level reveal, here’s another one being show in its new remastered/remake glory. Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a remaster that uses none of the original code base- a faithful remake if you will. And the second level to be shown, Colossus, is another case of that.
Revealed ahead of San Diego Comic Con by IGN, the level takes place in a monastery being attacked by a yeti, where Spyro has to save the day, sort of. The 5-minute footage just shows the critical path of the level, so the many secrets and minigames are still not shown here.

For comparison, here’s a video from the original Spyro 2 game:
Some of the charm from Spyro 2, like the voice-acting, may have not transitioned as well as it could, but that’s just a subjective observation for now.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy will bring back Spyro The Dragon, Spyro 2 and Spyro 3: Year Of The Dragon as one remastered/remake package when it arrives on September 21st for the PS4 and Xbox One.
