Arc System Works’ upcoming fighting game Guilty Gear Strive has been delayed.
The developers announce that it will the release date from April 9 to June 11.
“Since we received valuable feedback after the recent Open Beta Test, we would like to make the most of this opportunity to provide the best game possible,” the statement reads, as posted on Twitter. “We need extra time to polish some aspects of the game, such as the online lobbies and the server’s stability.”
The open beta for Guilty Gear Strive ran from February 18 to 23. 13 characters were made available during the beta, and at that time, the last of the confirmed launch characters I-No was not even revealed yet.
Hopefully the delay will let the team make improvements as they mentioned, or rollback some unpopular features (the online lobby system in particular was not popular among players).
Guilty Gear Strive will now be released on June 11 for the PS4, PS5 and PC (Steam).
