A new GTA Online content has dropped, adding more things to do in the still-alive live service multiplayer portion of GTA V.
The biggest new content is the addition of Mansion, a new property type players can spend GTA$ on. Three different mansions are available for purchase: Richman Villa, The Tongva Estate and The Vinewood Estate, all equipped with amenities to really live out that luxurious life of a successful criminal.
The amenities available in the Mansions include the following:
- 20-vehicle Garage
- Driveway to park personal vehicle and private rooftop helipad (includes complementary Mansion Volatus helicopter)
- Yoga are and Gym Equipment
- Swimming pool and hot tub
- Dog kennel and cat bed for pets
- Salon with resident Barber and Tattoo Artist
- Trophy Cabinets
- Master Control Terminal- manage all Businesses from the Mansion
- For some reason, AI Assistant that allows players to fast travel to any Businesses from the Mansion, throw parties and more
- Other interior customisations and add-ons
The update also will see the appearance of Michael De Santa and his wife Amanda, should you purchase a mansion. Michael is the last of the GTA V protagonist trio to make an appearance in GTA Online, but hey, here’s here now.

A Safehouse In The Hills update, also referred to some members of the GTA Online community as the Michael Mansion update (the update name is a reference to the Michael Madsen film A House In The Hills) adds a new set of Missions, KnoWay Out.
This will see players help Avi Schwartzman face against “a shadowy surveillance network by a self-driving vehicle start-up.” The new missions are immediately available to all players. Just go to the payphone at Little Seoul to start the chain of missions playable for 1-4 players.
On top of that, new cars are avaialable in GTA Online with A Safehouse In The Hills update. They are:
- Pfister X-treme (Super)
- Übermacht Sentinel XS4 (Sedan)
- Vapid FMJ MK V (Super)
- Grotti GT750 (Sports Classic)
As always with Grand Theft Auto, these cars are clearly a nod and a wink to real cars.
The update also adds a new Rockstar Mission Creator. Players have been able to create custom events, but now this has extended to missions, which is nice.
Lastly, GTA Online has added Missile Lock-On capabilities to 50 more vehicles, new Getaway Driver random event, four new emotes with more content to come.
GTA VI is still a long way to go, but players who are still logging in on GTA Online should be busy for longer while.
A Safehouse In The Hills update for GTA Online, part of Grand Theft Auto V, is now available on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S.
