Gran Turismo Sport Gets A New Spec-II Intro
Here’s something unexpected. Gran Turismo Sport got a small update this week and usually, since this is early in the month, it’s just bug fixes. But this update, Update 1.46, adds a new intro.
Something similar to Gran Turismo 5, Gran Turismo Sport is now getting a Spec-II version. A new repackage, this Spec-II version on physical discs (yes, two discs) includes the base game and all the content up to Update 1.39 ( May 2019 update featuring Goodwood Circuit).
Gran Turismo Sport has been constantly been adding more cars and tracks, and also has been successfully running the FIA-certified GT Championships esports. As such, the Spec-II intro is highlighting these two features. The first part is a montage of the live events, to a new version of Moon Over The Castle, the game series’ staple intro in Japan. The second part is similar in feel to the original intro, but now featuring the new cars and tracks, including Spa-Francorchamps and the Porsche Taycan which are coming to a content update soon.
Gran Turismo Sport will still be getting content next year. But this intro and repackage should entice players that waited out to finally get one. The Spec-II release of Gran Turismo Sport will be out on October 4th and the original release getting a permanent discount to RM79 in Malaysia as part of Playstation Hits.
