Gran Turismo 7 July 2025 Update Adds Three New Cars

You know the drill already. Gran Turismo 7 adds another three new cars in its monthly free update. The car selection will likely continue to enrage the current active community of players who prefer driving race cars rather than the usual road-goers. And this particular update for July 2025’s headliner of cars is only appealing to the most hardcore, nerdiest car culture enthusiasts who cares a lot about Nissan Skyline GT-Rs.

The July 2025 update for Gran Turismo 7, Update 1.61, features a new kei-car, a new crossover, and a unicorn of a car we’re all too familiar with. In short, not the most exciting of updates, even compared to last month’s.

The Honda N-ONE RS shows the world that Japan still produces modern kei-cars, and this is as cute as the ones GT fans are familiar with.

The Nissan Qashqai is definitely making car enthusiasts groan as it’s another one of those “boring” crossovers. But Gran Turismo’s main appeal even from the 1997 original was that it highlighted mundane, regular cars in a racing game. GT7 is growing a good list of SUVs/crossovers, which is, let’s be real, what most cars on the road today are. If only there are more events and races tailored to highlight these cars…

And finally, the star of the trio is the Nismo R34 Z-tune. There’s only 19 of these specially souped-up R34 GT-Rs ever produced. But if you care only for looks, this is more or less another Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 variant. But hey, there’s now two cars under the Nismo brand now.
